On May 15, as part of the International Day of Light celebrations, Tbilisi hosted its first event dedicated to this global initiative. Organized by FormaLighting and Women in Lighting Georgia, the gathering brought together Georgian architects, designers, and professionals from the creative industries.

The main theme of the event was “Lightscapes: Biophilic Design and Human Experience,” presented by a representative of FormaLighting, who shared insights into the role of light in human wellbeing, emotional perception, and the way people experience space. Particular attention was given to the principles of biophilic design and the importance of lighting in creating contemporary, human-centered environments. During the event, guests also had the opportunity to explore FormaLight’s lighting solutions, learn about the company’s design philosophy, and discover its approach to sustainable and experience-driven lighting design.

This event, dedicated to the International Day of Light, marked an important milestone in establishing the celebration of this global initiative in Georgia. The aim of the initiative is to foster professional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration across the fields of architecture, design, and lighting, while highlighting the essential role of light in shaping contemporary environments and enhancing human experience.
